Adam Green is the creator and star of FEARnet's comedy series "Holliston," which is based on his first feature film, the comedy "Coffee & Donuts," which is based on his own life.

Upon graduating New York's Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Science in Television and Film production, Adam Green went to work producing and directing local cable commercials in Boston. While employed by a cable advertising company, Green began "borrowing" their production equipment after hours to make his own films. Using friends as cast and crew, three lights and his severely troubled cat, Green's first feature film, the comedy "Coffee & Donuts," was completed for a mere $400 in the summer of 1999. In 2003 the movie was bought by Touchstone TV and developed as a sitcom for UPN with Green writing the pilot.

With the success of "Coffee & Donuts," Green made the move out West. While spending the next several years developing, writing, and working on various network television pilots, Green wrote and directed the feature film horror comedy "Hatchet" which premiered at the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival. The film was selected for festivals worldwide, winning a multitude of awards, including the Audience Choice Award for Best Picture in three different countries and placement in both MTV's and Ain't It Cool News' Top 10 Films of the Year lists. The film spawned two sequels: "Hatchet II" and "Hatchet III."

Green's second film, the Hitchcockian psychodrama "Spiral," took home the prestigious Gold Vision Award at the 2007 Santa Barbara International Film Festival, the Silver Award at Austin's Fantastic Film Festival, and saw a US theatrical release in February 2008. Green also produced the disturbing and horrifying thriller "Grace," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2009, complete with two men fainting in the audience on opening night. The movie was released in U.S. theaters in August 2009.

In 2010 Green's snowy thriller "Frozen" wowed audiences at the Sundance Film Festival once again. He next directed "Chillerama: The Diary of Anne Frankenstein." His upcoming projects include the films "Digging Up the Marrow" and "Killer Pizza."

Green founded ArieScope Pictures with director of photography Will Barratt in 1997.

Green was once the lead singer for the metal band Haddonfield, based out of Salem, Massachusetts. He also worked as the DJ at the world famous heavy metal hangout, The Rainbow Bar & Grill, on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood, where he also used to perform stand-up comedy.
