Adaum Kaufman stars in "State of Affairs" on NBC as Lucas Wright.

Born in Virginia and raised in Connecticut, Adam Kaufman graduated from Lynchburg College and studied drama at the Circle in the Square Theatre School and the Eugene O'Neill Theatre's National Theatre Institute.

Kaufman made his television debut playing a recurring role in the long-running cult series "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer." He then recurred on The WB's signature series "Dawson's Creek" and Sci Fi Channel's Steven Spielberg miniseries "Taken." He also starred in the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie "Loving Leah," opposite Lauren Ambrose, but is perhaps best known for recurring as Brian Donovan in CBS's "Without a Trace." 

Guest-starring appearances include "The Client List," "90210," "Hawaii Five-0," "NCIS," "Melrose Place," "Monk," "CSI: NY," "Mad Men," "Law & Order," "Veronica Mars," "CSI: Miami" and "Law & Order: SVU."

Kaufman lives in Los Angeles with his son, Jackson.
