Adam McCalden from "Deadliest Catch" is the engineer and one of the deckhands on the Kodiak fishing vessel in the Discovery Channel reality docu-series.
Adam McCalden is an adrenaline junkie with an outgoing personality. At age 19, he bought a one-way ticket to Alaska and roamed the docks until he landed his first fishing job: crabbing for opilios. Adam is eager to learn more about the Kodiak's engine room, and is psyched to work for Wild Bill Wichrowski, a naval-trained engineer.
Then again, Adam isn't sure how easy it will be to get Bill, a tough and demanding skipper, to share his knowledge. Adam wants to have fun this season, and he's looking forward to seeing how Bill's son Zach Larson works out as the crew's greenhorn.
