Alek Skarlatos is one of the celebrity contestants in Season 21 of ABC's ballroom competition series "Dancing with the Stars." He is partnered with professional dancer Lindsay Arnold.

Alek Skarlatos is an Army National Guard Specialist from Sacramento, California. He and his two childhood friends, Spencer Stone and Anthony Sadler, made headlines around the world in August 2015 when they heroically overpowered a man that opened fire on a train from Amsterdam to Paris. This true American hero was recently awarded France's highest honor by President Francois Hollande.
