Now if only he were better at picking friends ... His closest classmate Jerome (Eugene Simon) is constantly tripping him up with practical jokes, and his longtime crush Amber (Ana Mulvoy Ten) doesn't even know he exists! Alex Sawyer is making his TV debut in the role. He is of Ghanaian, Finnish and English ancestry and began acting at the age of 9 in a production of "Oliver!" as one of the chorus members at a local theater. Since 2004, he has attended weekly classes at Laine Theatre Arts. After appearing in a school production of "Blue/Orange" by Joe Penhall, he was scouted by an agency, Waring and Mckenna.
