Alexander Fehling stars in "Homeland" on Showtime as Jonas Happich, legal counsel for the Düring Foundation and Carrie's boyfriend.

After graduating from the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin, Alexander Fehling performed in several plays and won the OE Hasse Prize from the Akademie der Künste in 2005 for playing the prince in Robert Walser's "Snow White." On German television, Fehling played Morten Schwarzkopf, the great love of Tony Buddenbrook, (Jessica Schwarz) in Heinrich Breloer's drama series "Buddenbrooks" (2008). The following year, Fehling was seen in Hans-Christian Schmid's war drama "Sturm" and Frieder Wittich's college comedy "13 Semester." That same year, Fehling also received international attention for his role in Quentin Tarantino's feature film "Inglourious Basterds."

In 2010, Fehling became a star in his homeland for Philipp Stölzl's "Goethe!" For his role as a young and unhappy-in-love Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Fehling won the Jupiter Award for Best German Actor and was nominated for both the German Film Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role, and the Bambi Award for Best Actor - National. In addition, he won the Shooting Stars Award by the European Film Promotion at the Berlin International Film Festival. In competition at the festival that year was Andreas Veiel's "If Not Us, Who?" which starred Fehling as RAF terrorist Andreas Baader.

Fehling went on to star in Toke Constantin Hebbelns' drama "Shores of Hope" and Jan Zabeils' "Der Fluss war einst ein Mensch." In addition, Fehling starred in Philip Stölzl's international thriller "Erased," alongside Aaron Eckhart, Michael Herbig's "Buddy," Giulio Ricciarelli's "Labyrinth of Lies," and Lulu Wang's "Posthumous."
