Amelia Lowe from "So You Think You Can Dance 2012" is one of the top 20 contestants in Season 9 of the FOX reality dance competition. Her dance specialty is Contemporary. She is 18 years old.
Amelia Lowe currently lives with her parents in Butler, New Jersey, where she grew up. She is currently a senior in high school at the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts in Denville, New Jersey. Amelia has been dancing since the age of 3, and had her first performance when she was 5.

Do you have a nickname?

Do you have a job?
I have an unpaid internship at the Dance Academy of North Jersey. I teach a ballet class for five year olds. I have been doing this throughout my senior year of high school.
Do you have any formal dance training?
I have formal training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and a little Tap and Ballroom.
At what age did you first start to dance?
I started dancing when I was 3 and had my first performance when I was 5.
What other training/talents do you have?
I studied acting and theater for three years at my high school. I also edit my own dance videos and bake in my spare time.
What was your reaction to becoming a "So You Think You Can Dance" contestant?
I was bugging out when I found out. I couldn't believe that it was actually happening to me. It was definitely one of the "pinch me, I must be dreaming" moments. I still haven't fully wrapped my head around the idea.
Which choreographer are you most looking forward to working with?
Sonya and Travis Wall
What would people be most surprised to learn about you?
I used to be a total tomboy. I loved getting messy and playing around with the boys.

Billy Bell
