Jared Cotter

Jared "J.L." Cotter made it into the top 24 contestants on Season 6 of Fox's "American Idol."  Jared Cotter auditioned in New York.  Jared Cotter is known as a R&B and hip-hop artist.  Jared Cotter 's debut album, "The Album B4 The Album" was released in 2005.  Jared Cotter cut a couple of tracks with rap artist Kasual on his album, "Everythingz Done Kasually."

Jared Cotter is 25 years old.  Jared Cotter's grandfather apparently was James Reese Europe who was the first black jazz artist to play Carnegie Hall.  Jared Cotter has a degree in business management from Five Towns College, Long Island.  Jared Cotter currently lives in West Orange, New Jersey but grew up in Kew Gardens, New York.
