Ashley Benson stars in "Pretty Little Liars" on ABC Family as Hanna Marin, who became the school's new "it" girl after Alison disappeared. But being at the top of the social ladder is not all it is cracked up to be, especially when someone is out there reminding Hanna of how things used to be.

Ashley Benson is one of today's young, hot triple threats. Born and raised in California, she developed a passion for theater at the age of three, began acting when she was nine, working mostly in commercials, then quickly made the transition into film and television. She has appeared on such TV shows as "The District," "The West Wing," "Scrubs" and "The OC."
Benson made her feature film debut in "13 Going on 30," starring Jennifer Garner. She played the lead in "Bring It On: In It to Win It," as Carson, the fresh faced captain of the West High cheerleading team. She was seen in the the independent film "Bart Got a Room," opposite William H. Macy, and starred in Lifetime's TV movie "Fab Five."
Benson strives to be a positive role model in her community, and highly values the importance of charity work. She participates in public speaking, advocating education, strong life goals and the achievement of dreams through perseverance. She feels that reaching out to others, especially youth close to her age, provides an invaluable sense of fulfillment. She is also an avid promoter of animal rights.
She lives in the Los Angeles area with Olive, her adorable Maltese Shih Tzu. In her spare time, Benson enjoys Pilates, studying acting, tap, jazz, ballet and hip-hop, swimming, playing Wii and going to the movies.
