Autumn Reeser recently wrapped production on "The Big Bang," a neo-noir thriller directed by Tony Krantz and starring Antonio Banderas. Continuing on a path to explore diverse characters, Autumn Reeser portrayed AK-47, a violent member of the Tremor family, in "Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball," and a reluctant teenage vampire in the horror film "Lost Boys 2: The Tribe." Autumn Reeser's portrayal of a small-town Southern dreamer in the indie film, "Our Very Own," helped lead the cast—including Allison Janney, Keith Carradine and Jason Ritter—to a Best Ensemble Acting award at the 2006 Saratoga Film Festival.
Autumn Reeser also spent years training in dance and singing and was able to put her considerable skills to work as the villainess in the MTV musical "The American Mall," from the producers of Disney's "High School Musical." The romantic comedy is set at a mall and focused on the relationship between two young musicians and their respective personal and professional struggles.Autumn Reeser plays Madison Huxley, the scheming daughter of the mall owner who intends to open her own clothing boutique.
In addition, Autumn Reeser appeared in a number of independent films. In "Americanese," Autumn Reeser stars as a college student infatuated with her Asian Studies professor. "Palo Alto" follows a group of college freshman who return home for Thanksgiving break. The cast includes Tom Arnold, Ben Savage, and Johnny Lewis. The film premiered at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival. In "Our Very Own," Autumn Reeser leads the cast as a starry-eyed, small-town Southern girl obsessed with making it to the big screen. Raised in Carlsbad, California, Autumn Reeser spent her childhood developing a solid foundation for her acting career by playing a wide variety of characters in local musical theater productions, starting at age seven. After high school Autumn Reeser enrolled in UCLA's competitive theater program. Autumn Reeser began her freshman year there in the fall of 1998. Autumn Reeser spent the next three years totally immersed in the acting world, studying theater history, acting technique, dance, voice and movement. Autumn Reeser also interned at a casting director's office. Meanwhile, Autumn Reeser paid her bills by working the graveyard shift at Jerry's Famous Deli in Westwood, California.
Autumn Reeser's love for the stage continues today. Autumn Reeser can be seen monthly performing in the 1940's radio-styled comedy show, "The Thrilling Adventure and Supernatural Suspense Hour," at the Coronet theater in Los Angeles.
