"BBQ Pitmasters" brings back the high-stakes world of competitive barbecuing on Destination America. Formerly on TLC, the smokin' reality series is serving up a mouth-watering helping of pulled-pork perfection and beautifully braised beef. The new season is taking fans back to the basics of true barbecue competitions where the steaks are red hot and the sauce is all on the line. Traveling to the best barbecue festivals in the country, this new season showcases 15 of America's best hard-core barbecue grillers all competing for one of five spots in a final cook-off in which the winner boasts the ultimate barbecue bragging rights and a $50,000 cash prize from Kingsford Charcoal, and entry into the inaugural Kingsford Invitational. An all-star panel of judges, including series veteran Myron Mixon, decides the competitors' fate by blind tasting the grilled creations to determine whose barbecue is worth the sauce and whose should be dropped to the side of the grill. Alongside Mixon is former season one competitor Tuffy Stone and newcomer Aaron Franklin.

Each episode of "BBQ Pitmasters" transports viewers in the competitive barbecue subculture, proving that barbecue is much more than just delicious food, it's a full-blown competitive sport. In a cutthroat world of high-"steaks" competitions and prize money, reputation and respect ride on the virtue of one perfectly glazed rib or one lip-smacking bite of brisket. Each of the first five episodes will feature three new competitors tasked with cooking two different meats for the judges, one short-cook and one slow-cook. A winner is crowned each week, and the five finalists will fire off in a winner-take-all finale where the ultimate champion takes home $50,000, a ticket to the first annual Kingsford Invitational this Veterans Day weekend, and the coveted title of Kingsford BBQ Pitmasters Grand Champion.

From beef showcases such as brisket and ribs, to slow-cooked swine in pork butt and pulled pork, each episode offers insider barbecue tips and techniques that viewers can try at home to make their own melt-in-your-mouth creations.

Season 4

The new season is taking fans across the country to the best barbecue competitions where each saucy bite puts reputations, respect and thousands of dollars on the line. A new twist this season showcases a fierce competition among the best in regional barbecue — from Atlanta, Georgia, and Nashville, Tennessee, to Kansas City, Missouri, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Each city hosts three of the most hard-core barbecue grillers in that area as they compete for supreme barbecue bragging rights. Also, the line-up of judges returns with Myron Mixon, Tuffy Stone and Aaron Franklin deciding the competitors' fates by blind-tasting the grilled creations to determine who is worthy of being crowned the ultimate Pitmaster in their region.

Season 5

The hit series is back with the deeply competitive spirit of the American BBQ subculture! Destination America has doubled the number of competitors and upped the ante teaming with Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) and Memphis BBQ Network (MBN) to shine the spotlight on the best BBQ festivals across the country — from Austin, Texas, to New York City. We'll follow a revolving cast of the best chefs on the circuit through a full season of high-profile barbecue competitions leading into an unprecedented three semifinals. Returning judges include the "winningest" man in BBQ, Myron Mixon, alongside Tuffy Stone, and each week will feature a new twist with a surprise guest judge. At the end of the season, only one will be crowned the ultimate BBQ Pitmaster, earning all the bragging rights, $50,000 from Kingsford Charcoal, and entry into the Kingsford Invitational.

Season 6

The latest installment gets a jump on summer and introduces fresh meat when favorite contestant, Moe Cason joins Myron Mixon and Tuffy Stone at the judge's table. The new season showcases a fierce competition among the best in regional BBQ — from Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, Memphis and of course, Kansas City — with teams competing for a spot in a final cook-off in which the winner boasts the ultimate barbecue bragging rights, a $50,000 cash prize from Kingsford Charcoal, and entry into the prestigious Kingsford Invitational.

Three of Georgia's greatest grillers are kicking off the new season to see who can cook the Peach State's best 'cue. The premiere episode features Robby Royal from "Rescue Smokers" returning for a chance at redemption after his loss in last season's semi-finals. Eric Thomas from The Rolling Grill is another returning competitor who's trying to prove that his food is worthy of naming him "BBQ Pitmasters'" Georgia Champion. And newcomer John Ley from Heavenly Hawgs hopes his Georgia style cooking is destined to win it all. Find out who will win the first battle of the season to move on to the semi-finals for a shot at the grand prize and coveted title of BBQ Pitmasters Grand Champion.
