Bernice Notenboom is the host of The Weather Channel's reality series "Tipping Points."

Bernice Notenboom is professional climate journalist and polar adventurer. She was born in the Netherlands but has lived and worked alternately in the Netherlands and Canada. She was a member of the Dutch delegation at the climate conference in Copenhagen and has worked for National Geographic Magazine. She also gives lectures and writes regularly for newspapers. In November 2010 her book on polar expeditions, "Poles Apart," was released.

In 2007 Bernice took part in expeditions to the Arctic and polar cold in Siberia. In the winter of 2007-2008 she participated in an expedition to Antarctica and on January 12, 2008, she became the first Dutch woman to ever reach the South Pole. In spring 2009 she was the second Dutch woman ever to reach Mount Everest's summit (8848 meters).
