Bresha Webb stars in "People Are Talking" on NBC as Angie.

From drama to comedy, Bresha Webb has made a name for herself over the last few years through the vibrant characters she has brought to life on screen. She starred in TV One's comedy series "Love That Girl!" as the sassy and fabulous Imunique. More recently, she played a recurring role in ABC's drama "Grey's Anatomy" as a mother whose child has a severe immunodeficiency syndrome also known as the "Bubble Disease."

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Webb always knew she wanted to be an actress. She attended the prestigious Baltimore School for the Arts, where she excelled in theater and dance, starring in both "Fences" and "Le Blanc." She secured the NAACP ACT-SO Award while in high school. She earned her BFA from the California Institute of the Arts.

In 2007 Webb landed guest appearances in Lifetime's "State of Mind," FOX's "K-Ville" and ABC Family's "Lincoln Heights." In 2008, she nabbed a role in MTV's original musical romantic comedy movie "The American Mall" and the recurring role of Dr. Laverne St. John in NBC's "ER." For two seasons, she worked opposite Angela Bassett and Mekhi Phifer in a dramatic role where she portrayed a strong willed, forthright, witty and uptight doctor.

Additional credits include HBO's "Hung," ABC's "Private Practice," Showtime's "Weeds," FX's "Dirt" and TNT's "Raising the Bar." In the comedy world, Webb made a splash appearing on the short-lived FOX sketch comedy show "In the Flow with Affion Crockett," produced by Jamie Foxx.

Webb performs stand up in her spare time across the country. In 2014 she starred in the CBS Diversity Showcase and was cast alogside Kevin Hart in ABC's pilot for "Keeping it Together."

When not working, Webb has a big place in her heart for philanthropy and gives back to her community. She was the host for the 2014 NAACP Act-So Awards Ceremony in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has volunteered with the Black AIDS Institute, working to generate HIV awareness for the African American community. She also supports Dress for Success, a non-profit organization that provides interview suits, confidence boosts, and career development to low-income women in over 75 cities worldwide.

Webb currently lives in the Los Angeles area with her Chihuahua-mini pincher mix rescue dog Little Foot.
