Brett Alan Nelson from "Hollywood Unzipped: Stylist Wars" stars in the Oxygen reality docu-series. He was previously one of the junior stylists on the MTV reality docu-drama "Styl'd."

Brett Alan Nelson is a celebrity stylist who is represented by a prestigious styling agency and will stay up around the clock to put his own spin on his looks because he'd rather die than have a client end up on a worst dressed list.

Kansas City born and bred, Brett Nelson couldn't wait to get out of the Midwest.

He moved to Los Angeles with $500 in his pocket, and even had to live in his car for three months to make ends meet. He has worked a lot of retail in his life, from Abercrombie and Fitch, to Ed Hardy. He's not afraid to embrace more daring fashion, and equates his style to a male version of Betsey Johnson.

He began assisting veteran stylists Simone Harouche and Jen Rade and later went on to star on and win MTV's docu-series, "Styl'D," which followed four young stylists competing for a contract with the leading Los Angeles agency in celebrity styling. Brett's success on the series allowed him to further develop his talent as a stylist.

Inspired by the nineties and all quirky aspects of the world around him, Brett has styled countless celebrities, including Usher, Miley Cyrus, Kat Graham, Rita Ora, Colette Carr, The Lady Tigra and Ashley Tisdale. His work has been featured in major publications such as Lucky, Nylon and Seventeen. Recognizing that the fashion world is often stressful and intense, Brett strives to keep fun alive in the industry.
