"Buying the Beach" is a real estate series that is part of the Destination America franchise that includes "Buying Alaska" and "Buying the Bayou."

Spanning more than 95,000 miles of the U.S. coastline from Alaska to California and from Texas to Maine, watch as the series takes real American families on a sandy search for the waterfront home of their dreams. "Buying the Beach" offers an inside look at amazing seaside properties across the U.S.A., showcasing unique homes where potential buyers can
settle into the sand and soak up the sun mere steps from their own backyard.

Each episode presents house hunters with three potential properties to choose from. Local realtors guide the process helping potential buyers to find the perfect place, whether it's a beachside mansion in South Carolina, a cottage at the ocean's edge in Oregon, a bungalow along the shores of Mississippi, or a two-story houseboat anchored in California.

"Buying the Beach" is produced for Destination America by Paper Route Productions with Al LaGarde and Sumit David as executive producers. For Destination America, Fay Yu is executive producer, Sara Kozak is senior vice president of production, Marc Etkind is general manager, and Henry Schleiff is group president of Investigation Discovery, Destination America, American Heroes Channel and Discovery Fit & Health.
