"Cake Boss" Season 6 is a reality docu-drama on TLC that takes viewers behind the scenes of Carlo's City Hall Bake Shop in Hoboken, New Jersey, where owner Buddy Valastro manages his booming business making elaborate in-demand cakes, along with his big Italian family who run the shop with him.
Buddy Valastro is one of the most successful and renowned cake artists in the United States. He supervises a team that includes his mother, four older sisters and three brothers-in-law. And when you're working
"Cake Boss" chronicles Buddy's over-arching desire to achieve his late father's dream of making Carlo's Bake Shop a household name with or without the help of his family.
Season 6
Season 6 picks up days after Hurricane Sandy devastated the area, with Buddy and the crew returning to Carlo's to assess the damage it's left behind. With no electricity and clients who still need cake orders, the team will have to work their decorating magic in near darkness, and look to find ways to support the community working to recover from the storm.
In the second episode, Buddy is asked to create a special cake for Good Morning America's Robin Roberts. The pressure's on for the team to deliver a cake that will wow the beloved Robin — and millions of viewers. Plus, Mauro makes a cake for a spinning instructor who wants to honor his mentor.
Season 5
The fifth season picks up with Buddy and his crew settling into their new cake factory, Lackawanna, and learning to deal with the demands of their ever-growing popularity. This season's colorful confections include a tribute to Dr. Seuss, a towering Statue of Liberty, and a candy-covered 1st birthday cake for Buddy's son — with a flowing chocolate river. Of course, running a family business comes with some not-so-sweet drama, and an increasing conflict between Buddy's sister Mary and the rest of the Carlo's Bakery team leads Buddy to make some tough choices. Also, "Next Great Baker" winner Marissa Lopez starts work at the bakery, trying to prove she has what it takes to bake with the big boys, while learning how to keep up with their pranks.
