Later that same year, she became a Global Ambassador for the protection of mothers and children against AIDS, on behalf of the Global Fund, UNICEF, and UNAIDS. In 2009, she created the Carla Bruni-Sarkozy Foundation, which aims to encourage access to culture, education, and knowledge for disadvantaged children. She released her third album, "Comme si de rien n'était," in 2008.
