Casey Wilson stars in "Happy Endings" on ABC as Penny.
Previously, Casey Wilson was a featured player on "Saturday Night Live." She joined the cast in mid-season of the 2007-08 season and made her mark with performances that ran the gamut from one of the on-the-make older women in "The Cougar Den" with Ashton Kutcher to a paraplegic stripper and spot-on Rachael Ray impression.
Her film credits include the indie "The Great Buck Howard" with John Malkovich; Christopher Guest's "For Your Consideration,"
A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, Casey Wilson co-wrote and performed (alongside her friend June Raphael) the two-woman sketch comedy show "Rode Hard and Put Away Wet" at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York and L.A. "Rode Hard" ran for eleven months and was an official selection of HBO's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, and was listed as a Critic's Pick in TimeOut NY. Wilson and Raphael won the ECNY award for "Best Comedic Duo." The duo has most recently written the screenplay, "Bride Wars," which will star Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway. Variety included Wilson in its "Top 10 Comics to Watch."
Wilson and Raphael's writing partnership has branched out into the film world. They co-wrote the movie "Bride Wars," starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson, and were recently hired to write a new draft of "The Bachelorette," a feature in development at Universal with Rueben Fleischer attached to direct.
Wilson continues to perform live, most recently in "Love, Loss and What I Wore," by Nora and Delia Ephron at New York's Westside Theatre. She's on stage frequently at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles, appearing in various comedy shows, including "Worst Laid Plans (True Stories of Terrible Sex)."
Her other TV credits include the FOX sketch comedy pilot, "The Right Now Show," by "Comedy Death Ray" creators Scott Aukerman and B.J. Porter, and MTV's "Human Giant," as well as voice work on the animated series "Glenn Martin, DDS" for Nick At Night.
Wilson originally hails from Alexandria, Virginia, and lives in New York.
