Cecily Strong stars in "Saturday Night Live" as a featured player, beginning in fall 2012 for its 38th season.

Cecily Strong previously performed as a member of the Second City National Touring Company and served as an understudy for the Second City Main Stage and ETC shows in Chicago. She also improvised regularly at iO in Chicago. She has appeared at the Chicago Sketchfest, Chicago Just for Laughs, the New York Sketch Fest, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Strong was raised in Oak Park, Illinois, and has a B.F.A. in theater from the California Institute of the Arts.
