Charley Koontz stars in "CSI: Cyber" on CBS.

Born and raised in Concord, California, Charley Koontz graduated from De La Salle High School in 2005. He went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Arts from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, in 2009. Koontz is best known for playing the recurring role of "Fat Neil" on the NBC comedy "Community." His other television credits include ABC's "Modern Family," NBC's "Perfect Couples" and "Awake," and recurring roles on USA Network's "Royal Pains" and Nickelodeon's "Gigantic."

Koontz's first feature film, "Rubber," directed by Quentin Dupieux, premiered at the 2010 Cannes Film Festival and has garnered an enthusiastic and dedicated cult following. He worked with Dupieux again on the 2011 film "Wrong." Koontz's film credits also include "You or a Loved One," the horror thriller "Haunting of Cellblock 11," the sexual thriller "Contracted," directed by Eric England, and the prison-set paranormal thriller "Apparitional."

Koontz is part of the Los Angeles-based Shakespeare theater company Will and Company.
