Charlie Murphy stars in SundanceTV's miniseries "Rebellion."

Irish actress Charlie Murphy recently starred in BBC's "Happy Valley" and "The Village," for which she received an IFTA Best Supporting Actress nomination. She also appeared in all five series of the multi-award winning drama "Love/Hate," for which she won Best Actress at The Irish Film and Television Awards in both 2013 and 2015. Other television work includes "Quirke," "Ripper Street," "The Last Kingdom," "Single Handed" and "Misfits."

films include "'71," directed by Yann Demange for Warp Films, "Philomena," directed by Stephen Frears for Baby Cow/The Weinstein Company and "Northmen – A Viking Saga," directed by Claudio Fah for Elite Filmproduktion.

Onstage, Murphy performed at the National Theatre of Ireland/Abbey Theatre as Eliza Doolittle in "Pygmalion" for which she won Best Actress at the Irish Times Theatre Awards. She also was seen in the world premiere of Mark O Rowe's "Our Few and Evil Days," Enda Walsh's "Disco Pigs" at the Young Vic, "Big Maggie" at Druid Theatre, and "The Silver Tassie" at the Lincoln Centre Festival, New York. Other productions include "Romeo and Juliet," "The Sound of Music," "Cabaret," "The Taming of the Shrew," "4.48 Psychosis," "Once a Catholic," "This Is Our Youth," "Anatomy of a Seagull," "The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui" and "The Colleen Bawn."
