Cherry Jones stars in "Awake" on NBC as Dr. Judith Evans.

Cherry Jones graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.F.A. in Drama. Nominated four times, Jones has twice won the Tony Award for Best Actress, for her performances in "Doubt" and "The Heiress."

She is best known to television audiences as President Allison Taylor on FOX's "24." She had a recurring role on CBS's "Clubhouse" and also appeared in episodes of "The West Wing" and "Frasier."

Jones' film credits include "The Beaver," alongside Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster, "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood," starring Sandra Bullock, "Erin Brockovich," starring Julia Roberts, Robert Redford's "The Horse Whisperer," Wolfgang Petersen's "The Perfect Storm," Steven Soderbergh's "Oceans Twelve," Tim Robbins' "Cradle Will Rock" and M. Night Shyamalan's "Signs."

A native of Paris, Tennessee, Jones has been a proud member of Equity since 1978.

She lives in Los Angeles and New York.
