Chi McBride stars in "Hawaii Five-0" on CBS as Captain Lou Grover.

McBride recently starred in CBS's "Golden Boy," as Detective Don Owen, and FOX's "Human Target," as Winston. He also garnered critical acclaim for his starring role as Emerson Cod on ABC's fantasy drama "Pushing Daisies."

Chi McBride has established himself as one of the most respected actors in television and film. On the big screen, McBride was recently seen in the comedy/drama "Happy Together," as well as "First Sunday" opposite

Ice Cube, Tracy Morgan and Katt Williams, and "The Brothers Solomon" directed by Bob Odenkirk and starring Will Arnett and Will Forte. Prior to that, McBride collaborated with Odenkirk and Arnett on the Universal release "Let's Go to Prison," and in 2006 starred on the critically acclaimed ABC drama series "The Nine."

McBride's other feature film credits include the Touchstone film "Annapolis," opposite James Franco and Tyrese; "Waiting," opposite Ryan Reynolds; "Roll Bounce," with Bow Wow and Nick Cannon in a film from the producers of Barber Shop; Steven Spielberg's "The Terminal," starring opposite Tom Hanks; "I, Robot," opposite Will Smith; "Narc"; "Paid in Full"; "Undercover Brother," with Eddie Griffin; "Gone in 60 Seconds," opposite Nicholas Cage; "The Kid," co-starring with Bruce Willis; and starring roles in "The Frighteners," "Hoodlum" and "Mercury Rising." McBride also received critical acclaim for his starring role in the Hudlin Brothers' production, "Tang," a segment of HBO's "Cosmic Slop Trilogy."

McBride made his feature film debut in "The Distinguished Gentleman," opposite Eddie Murphy, and followed with roles in the Oscar-nominated "What's Love Got to Do With It" and "The Great White Hype."

McBride is probably best known though for his five-year run on the critically acclaimed David E. Kelley series, "Boston Public," as Principal Steven Harper. Additional TV roles include a recurring role in "Hawthorne," a five-episode arc on "House," playing Bundini Brown in ABC's telefilm "Muhammad Ali: King of the World," plus appearances on "Killer Instinct" and "Deviant Behavior." McBride is also well known for his role as the wisecracking, philosophical janitor on "The John Larroquette Show."
