Cody Fry from "American Idol 2015" is one of the top 48 contestants in Season 14 of the FOX reality singing competition. He sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" for his audition in Nashville, Tennessee. He made it all the way to the Green Mile but did not make it into the top 24 contestants.

Cody Fry's talents as a performer and creator of music have already gained him acclaim and exposure. The Grammy Foundation "discovered" his capabilities while he was still in high school and put him onstage to sing and play piano and guitar alongside Earth, Wind & Fire, Herbie Hancock, Michael McDonald, Jeff Beck, Kanye West, John Legend, Gloria Estefan, and Burt Bacharach at special benefit concerts honoring Quincy Jones and George Martin. Fry's music has been featured on nationally syndicated radio shows as well as in feature stories in the Chicago Tribune. Tribune rock critic Mark Caro described Fry's voice and music as "a rich slice of blue-eyed soul." Fry was one of a just a handful of performers selected for Oprah Winfrey's Mediterranean cruise "Trip of a Lifetime."

In addition to live performing, Fry also has made a name for himself composing custom music for television commercials, film and special events. He provided original music and vocals on a national campaign for Big Lots! and original music for a McDonald's, including a commercial that aired during the 2013 Super Bowl. Additionally, Fry's mastery of arranging for full orchestra and choir was showcased on "Christmas at Belmont" for PBS.

Fry currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where he owns and operates a production house called Gardenside.
