Curt Beech from "Hot Set" is one of the judges on the Syfy reality production design competition series.

Best known for his Art Direction on the recent films "The Help," "The Social Network" and "Star Trek," Curt Beech was has been nominated three times for an Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Award for these high-profile features. His work will next be seen in the Steven Spielberg feature "Lincoln." Beech's recent production design work includes Ernest Borgnine's last feature

film, "The Man Who Shook the Hand of Vicente Fernandez," and is currently in production on the Dowdle Brothers' feature "The Coup."

Beech has worked on numerous notable feature films including "Greenberg," "Get Smart," "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," "War of the Worlds" and "Mission: Impossible III." Beech started his career teaching theater and directing at The Horace Mann School in New York where he learned how to think creatively while managing challenging budgetary and time limitations. With his background and an MFA from UCLA in Scenic and Lighting Design, he strives to bring a strong visual component to every script he reads.

Beech and his wife, Disney executive Mary Beech, reside in Los Angeles with their two young daughters.
