Dan Lauria stars in "Sullivan and Son" on TBS as Jack Sullivan.

Best known for his role as the father on the ABC television series "The Wonder Years," Dan Lauria has played recurring roles in "Ed," "JAG" and "Party of Five" and appeared as a guest star on dozens of episodic TV shows from "Kojak" and "Moonlighting" to "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and "7th Heaven." More recently, he has been seen in episodes of "Harry's Law," "Nurse Jackie," "The Hard Times of RJ Berger," "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "The Mentalist," "How I Met Your Mother," "Army Wives" and "Psych."

Lauria has worked steadily in film since his debut as Secret Service Man #2 in the 1983 film "C.O.D." His most commercial vehicles have been the Jerry Bruckheimer/Michael Bay blockbuster "Independence Day," M. Night Shyamalan's "Wide Awake" and "Big Momma's House 2," starring Martin Lawrence.

Lauria was an executive producer of "Faithful," an adaptation of Chazz Palmintieri's first screenplay after "A Bronx Tale," directed by Paul Mazursky and starring Cher and Ryan O'Neal; the producers of "Faithful" were Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro.

For the past decade, Lauria has been artistic director of The Playwright's Kitchen Ensemble (PKE) of Los Angeles, a company committed to promoting the development of new American playwrights and to seeking literary representation for them. With co-director Joe Cacaci, Lauria and PKE have produced over 450 public readings of new plays with some of the finest actors in the business. He is also very active in regional theater, having written, directed and/or performed in over 50 professional productions.
