"Dancing with the Stars" Season 17 returns on ABC with including two Olympic Gold Medalists, a game show host, a swimming legend and a teen pop star.

In a first for the series, the competition will feature a new game changing twist called "The Switch Up." This season, America will be given the power to vote and change celebrities and professional dance pairings. This new rule will affect all couples as they will be required to switch partners at a point in the season. Never before have dance partnerships been split up during the course of competition.

The "Dancing with the Stars" 2014 cast for the spring includes the following celebrities and professional partners: former pro hockey player Sean Avery & Karina Smirnoff; actress Candace Cameron Bure & Mark Ballas, stand-up comic turned actor and producer Drew Carey & Cheryl Burke, Olympic gold ice dancing medalist Meryl Davis & Maksim Chmerkovskiy, reality television star and actress NeNe Leakes & Tony Dovolani, actor and Big Time Rush boy band member James Maslow & Peta Murgatroyd, actress Danica McKellar & Valentin Chmerkovskiy, long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad & first-timer Henry Byalikov, Paralympic snowboarder Amy Purdy & Derek Hough, pop star Cody Simpson & first-timer Witney Carson, Olympic gold ice dancing medalist Charlie White & Sharna Burgess, and legendary leading actor Billy Dee Williams & Emma Slater.

Hosted by Emmy Award-winning host Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos") and Erin Andrews (sports host & "Dancing with the Stars" Season 10 finalist), "Dancing with the Stars" is the hit series in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which are judged by renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.

"Dancing with the Stars" is produced by BBC Worldwide Productions. Conrad Green, Ashley Edens-Shaffer and Joe Sungkur are executive producers. Alex Rudzinski directs.

I don't think it's fair to have an 80 year old or anyone without dancing experience to have to compete against someone like Nicole who has dancing and choreographing skills already It makes me not want to watch the show
gerti says:
As I read the news this week about a young girl committing suicide because she was harassed at school, I wondered what part television plays in making ugly comments acceptable. I love this show, but I could do without the occasional humiliating judges comments. Why not concentrate on giving dance pointers and, in the name of this poor child, elevate the program. I would ask others to support this and make it a better show.
donna says:
I think the best way to have an honest and fair competetion is to have everyone begin with the same category..i.e all soap opera stars or all athletics. This season was very obvious who would win. How could any of them compete againest Nicole. Anyone with previous dance experience should not be on the show!!!!!!!
paula says:
It's not about Television that plays apart in it, I have to say, I think it's the parent's ,, how we teach our kids at HOME,that is the problem parents let there kids get away with to much crap, these days , you can't go around puting the blame on the judges they are not doing anything wrong except doing there job's , and speaking there mind , I think if the kids can't handle the show then they are not to watch the show, and go do something else , or better yet record the show. , I just think parents need to be better judges to see if the show is good enough to watch for there childeren if so then let them watch if not then record, then that solves half the problems, because I love the show. I well support the show, 110%. it's got my vote, that is all i have to say, I am sorry if i miss spell or anything like that, have a good one , everyone, enjoy next week show..
jme says:
