An avid baseball fan and follower of the San Francisco Giants, he still dreams of being invited to a Giants' home game to sing the National Anthem or to throw out the first pitch. He has become one of Hollywood's established character actors, working steadily in film and television since the 1980s.

Zacapa's break-out role came as Ruben Santiago on Showtime's acclaimed "Resurrection Blvd," the first English-speaking weekly series in the history of television to be produced, written, directed by, and starring Latinos. His other television credits include guest-starring roles on such series as "The Mentalist," "FlashForward," "The Closer," "Prison Break," "Weeds," "JAG," "Criminal Minds," "Boomtown," "The West Wing," "Nip/Tuck," and many more.

On film, Zacapa has worked with such famed directors as David Fincher, Gore Verbinski and Robert Towne, and shared the screen with such diverse actors as Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon in "Odd Couple 2," Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt in "Se7en," and Robert Redford and Michelle Pfeiffer in "Up Close & Personal." His other film credits include "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind," "Tequila Sunrise" and "Witness Protection," among others.
Beyond acting, Zacapa is passionate about speaking to youth about achieving their dreams, as well as reading to children in school. He continues to follow the Giants during baseball season.
