Darren Foster hosts "Inside: Secret America" on National Geographic Channel along with his wife and professional partner, Mariana van Zeller. He is also a co-creator and series producer.

Darren Foster is a freelance investigative journalist who is a Peabody Award-winning producer and director. He has contributed work to the CBC and Channel 4 (UK) and is a regular contributor to PBS's "Frontline/World." He recently worked on a series of stories for "Vanguard" on Current TV. His work has taken him to all corners of the earth to cover conflict, migration, the environment, art and culture, etc.

Foster and his wife won a Peabody Award for "The OxyContin Express," a documentary about the distribution of prescription drugs.

Born and bred in New York, he now lives in California with his wife.
