DC Benny from "Last Comic Standing 2014" is a comedian who is one of the top 10 finalists in Season 8 of the NBC reality competition series.

In the hard-hitting New York comedy world, DC Benny is a heavyweight contender. His unorthodox style of comedic story-telling, seasoned with original characters, has earned him a diverse and enthusiastic fan base over the last 26 years.

As an English major at the University of Maryland, he entered a talent show, where he got big laughs doing impressions

of all of his professors. He soon became a fixture at local comedy clubs in the D.C. area before moving to Brooklyn, New York.

Once in New York, he made a name for himself as a white comic who was happy to work the urban rooms in addition to performing at mainstream comedy clubs. Benny made his television debut on "Showtime at the Apollo" and has since performed all over the U.S. and toured internationally.

Many of his fans know Benny from his dramatic film and television roles. He has been seen on multiple episodes of "Law & Order" and had a long run on the daytime drama "As the World Turns." He has also been in many feature films, including "Freedomland," starring Samuel Jackson, and John Singleton's "Illegal Tender."

Additional credits include Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," HBO's "The Chris Rock Show," NBC's "The Cosby Show" and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." Benny was the main character in Budweiser's popular "How You Doin'?" Super Bowl spots, and has also been in numerous national commercials for Verizon, Dell, Volkswagen and Wendy's. His Comedy Central half-hour special is one of the highest rated in the network's history, and he was a semi-finalist on season two of "Last Comic Standing."

Benny's weekly comedic story-telling show, "Urban Myth," became an underground staple, where performers such as Dave Chapelle, Ben Bailey, Jim Gaffigan, Marc Maron, Jim Norton, and Colin Quinn would drop by and tell their true, funny stories. Benny has opened for Jeff Foxworthy, Bernie Mac, Gilbert Gottfried, Margaret Cho, David Allen Grier, Kevin Pollack and Tommy Davidson.
