Apache on "Deadliest Warrior"
Apache Deadliest Warrior
The Apache are warriors featured on Spike TV's "Deadliest Warrior."

The Apache were born warriors—the fiercest and most feared of all American Indian tribes. The Apache defied the odds and fought so ferociously that expansion by Mexico and later the United States slowed to a standstill.

More than a century later, Apache tactics were adopted as a combat model for special forces. Apaches used speed, stealth, surprise, distraction, deception and even the land itself as weapons.

Region: Southwest
United States

Weapons: Tomahawk, Knife, War Club, Bow and Arrow

Reign
: A.D. 850 - 1886.

Key Battles: Apache Chief Geronimo led his tribe into their last stand against the Spaniards in 1886. This is generally considered to be the end of the Apache reign, but small numbers of the Tribe still reside in reservations in Arizona, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
