Debbie Matenopoulos is the co-host of Hallmark Channel's "Home & Family."

For nearly two decades Debbie Matenopoulos has consistently proven herself to be a versatile talent in the entertainment industry. This two-time Emmy nominee has successfully sustained her career as a compelling journalist, talk show host, and burgeoning actress. By equally spanning her talents across numerous facets of entertainment, the public has naturally embraced Matenopoulos as a familiar and trusted face in both television and film.

Matenopoulos hit the scene at just seventeen years old on MTV and, over the years of her career, including her time as co-host of ABC's "The View," has interviewed nearly every Hollywood celebrity from Robert De Niro to Miley Cyrus while also covering hard news topics such as the Jennifer Hudson murder trial, Whitney Houston's death and the trial of James Holmes for the movie theater massacre in Aurora, Colorado. In her role as correspondent for CBS's entertainment show "The Insider," Matenopoulos added worthy interviews to her illustrious career, including an interview with Steve Tisch, owner of the New York Giants, on the field right after the Giants won the Super Bowl; an exclusive with Donald Trump and his family; an inside look with veteran CBS newsman Barry Peterson regarding the emotional difficulties of covering tragic events such as Rwanda, Afghanistan, and the 9/11 attacks; and an exclusive interview with Jenna Telackova, the first transgender Beauty Pageant contestant ever allowed to compete in Miss Universe Pageant.

In 1997, Matenopoulos was hand picked by Barbara Walters to serve as one of the five original co-hosts of her then new daytime talk show, "The View," making Debbie the youngest person in daytime history to hold a permanent position on network television. She still holds this title to date. She helped shape the show by being instrumental in building the format and reputation and by offering the younger generation's perspective, She helped make the program a tremendous success. Her popularity among the younger demographic led to a guest appearance as herself on NBC's "Saturday Night Live" in a parody about the talk show.

Matenopoulos went on to launch the TV Guide Channel, host the TBS hit series "He's a Lady," alongside Morgan Fairchild and John Salley, write and sell a made for TV movie to the Oxygen Network, and co-host FOX's nationally syndicated morning show, "Good Day Live" with Arthel Neville and Steve Edwards. Then from 2005-2010, Matenopoulos went on to become part of the E! Entertainment family and began co-hosting all of the red carpet events with Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic, which consistently garnered E! its highest ratings, including the Emmys, Grammys, Golden Globes, and Academy Awards. Matenopoulos relaunched and hosted E!'s #1 rated show at the time, "Fashion Police," the weekday entertainment show "The Daily 10," alongside co-hosts Sal Masekela and Catt Sadler, while simultaneously acting as co-host on Style Networks #1 rated show "Instant Beauty Pageant" with ABC star Cameron Mathison.

As correspondent for "The Insider," Matenopoulos continued to cover everything from pop culture trends to the latest, hard hitting news and wasn't afraid to try something crazy and new while the cameras were rolling. From practicing with New England Patriots cheerleaders before the Super Bowl, to going undercover with a hidden camera inside Aurora, Colorado's gun shops less than 24 hours after the movie theater massacre to show how easy it is to purchase weapons, to getting the inside scoop with the likes of Charlize Theron and Kristen Stewart on set of "Snow White and the Huntsman," Matenopolous did it all.

Matenopolous' personality and charisma have made her a favorite among Hollywood's finest, and the relationships she has created get her access to some of Hollywood's most elusive celebrities. She was even the first person to interview Simon Cowell in his $20 million dollar Beverly Hills home, even before her mentor Barbara Walters.

More recently, Matenopolous dove headfirst into the food and lifestyle space as she went to work writing her first best selling critically-acclaimed cookbook, "It's All Greek to Me." Calling the book her love letter to her family's native Greece, she journeyed to Greece to write and photograph the book and is proud to share her family's favorite classic Greek recipes right from their own kitchens.
