Deborah Mailman stars in SundanceTV's drama series "Cleverman."

One of Australia's most celebrated actors, Deborah Mailman has worked extensively in film, television and theater and is perhaps most recognized for her role as Kelly in the Network Ten television series "The Secret Life of Us," for which she won a Silver Logie for Most Outstanding Actress and was nominated for the Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Television Drama or Comedy. She more recently starred as Cherie Butterfield in the multi-award winning dramedy series "Offspring," for which she won the AFI Award for Best Guest or Supporting Actress in a Television Drama.

Other recent television projects include "Black Comedy," "Redfern Now" and the critically acclaimed "Mabo," for which she won the TV Week Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actress in 2013.

On the big screen, Mailman starred alongside Jessica Mauboy and Chris O'Dowd in the much celebrated Australian film "The Sapphires," for which Mailman won the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) Award for Best Actress. She was also nominated for an AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actress for "Mental."

Onstage, Mailman has performed in th all aboriginal Sydney Theatre Company production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream," the Sydney Belvoir Street Theatre production of "The Small Poppies" and the touring production of "Seven Stages of Grieving," which she co-wrote.

Mailman majored in Drama at the Queensland University of Technology.
