DeStorm Power is the host of BET's reality prank series "Punk'd."

DeStorm Power, a 2011 American Music Awards winner with over 1.4 million subscribers worldwide, has the #1 hip hop channel on YouTube. His "do it yourself" motto has made him the trailblazer of a new movement online with hip hop and has placed him as a hip-hop legend on YouTube and in social media.

Mostly known for his unique ability to create a song from any subject, DeStorm created a new media frenzy with his compelling lyrics and infectious melodies. In 2007, this future president and CEO read an article on the power of social media, and soon after began posting original content to YouTube. Having a strong background in personal training and athletics, his initial fitness uploads found him early success. He lost his mother to cancer in May of 2008, and he credits her strength to the work ethic that motivated him to create over 200 videos in one year.

DeStorm began uploading unique musical challenges and coined two catch phrases now heard around the world: "wuz up world," and "another day, another challenge." These challenges, along with his beat box covers, grew his fan base at an unprecedented rate. In April 2011, DeStorm packed venues across the nation as a headliner on the DigiTour, a 27-city tour featuring YouTube's elite musicians. He closed 2011 with his smash hit song "Finally Free," featuring hip-hop icon Talib Kweli, a viral success racking up over a million views.

Today, with over 165 million video views on two of YouTube's most successful channels ever, DeStorm prepares for his freshman album release, and looks forward to collaborating with other established hip-hop artists. He is the President/CEO of Wuz Up World, Inc., and has been featured in Forbes, Celebuzz, Mashables, Wired, and Respect Magazine. DeStorm continues to merge the worlds of old and new media, inspiring thousands of new artists to find success in their own way.

DeStorm is the fourth of eight children. He grew up in Baltimore City project housing, and was raised by a single mother. She kept them off the streets by creating activities through sports and art programs. A gifted artist by thirteen, DeStorm received a scholarship to the Baltimore City School of the Arts where earned money by drawing portraits. A dancer, track athlete and fine arts major in college, he broke into the music scene by creating Baltimore Club music with his brother, rocking the airwaves of Baltimore's 92.Q radio. He spent the next few years writing and producing hip-hop and R&B music in New York City.
He is currently based in Los Angeles.
