Drugs, Inc. (TV show) scene
"Drugs, Inc." (TV show) is an investigative reality series on National Geographic Channel that gives viewers an explosive 360° view of the rising drug epidemic in the United States and beyond.

An epidemic that affects people of all races, ages and classes is sweeping across the United States: drug addiction, a multi-billion-dollar industry that fuels crime and violence like no other substance on the planet. Turning cartel leaders into billionaires, the illegal drug industry also provides vital
income to hundreds of thousands of poor workers across the globe. While some users sacrifice their lives to an addiction they can't escape, others find drugs to be their only saving grace from physical or emotional pain almost impossible to overcome. Where should the lines be drawn in this lucrative industry?

In Season 3, we'll meet a Hawaiian teenager who gets hooked on crystal meth after one "hit" and a middle-aged widow in Alaska who seeks relief in heroin. In Sin City, high-end "fixers" provide "party favors" to the young and glamorous, but beneath the neon lights of the Las Vegas Strip is a seedy underworld of storm drains where homeless addicts get high on crack. The bottom line is that crystal meth, crack, cocaine and other illegal narcotics are on the rise, plaguing many states across the country.

In Season 5, visit Salt Lake City, Utah, where Mexico's cartels are flooding the streets with narcotics and tarnishing the city's idyllic veneer. And in Washington, D.C., join a DEA tactical unit as it prepares to take down PCP kitchens that are toxic, explosive and ruthlessly defended. In Portland, Ore., meet the heroin-addicted homeless youth who have succumbed to the allure of a cheap high and the police fighting to break up the local distribution networks. Additional cities this season include Oakland, Calif.; Baltimore, Md.; Atlanta, Ga.; Dallas, Texas; Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minn.; and Boston, Mass.
