Eliana Girard from "So You Think You Can Dance 2012" is one of the top 20 contestants in Season 9 of the FOX reality dance competition. She is 21 years old.
Eliana Girard currently lives in New York and grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. She started dancing when she was 3½ years old. She left Dreyfoos High School of the Arts to dance at Joffrey Ballet School, and went the following year to Alvin Ailey School. She started her career with Cirque Du Soleil in July 2009. Her dance specialty is
Contemporary Ballet.

Do you have a nickname?
My family calls me Nana and my friends call me Elle.
At what age did you first start to dance?
3½ years old.
Do you have a job?
Cirque Du Soleil, July 2009 through February 2012.
What other training/talents do you have?
Aerial, acrobatics, contortion.
What was your reaction to becoming a "So You Think You Can Dance" contestant?
Flabbergasted! I was speechless! A huge ball of every incredible emotion all at once!
What would people be most surprised to learn about you?
That I'm a huge bird lover and used to raise them.
Which choreographer do you look forward to working with?
I'm incredibly excited to work with Sonya Tayeh, Stacey Tookey, Travis Wall, Tyce Diorio, Jason Gilkison and Mandy Moore.
Which dancer from another season were you the most inspired by?
I was inspired by Danny Tidwell and Travis Wall. Their story and passion was such an inspiration to not hold back and they gave me the hunger to continue to grow until the day I die.
