Enrico Colantoni stars in "Flashpoint" on CBS as Sgt. Gregory Parker.

Enrico Colantoni is best known for his role as fashion photographer Elliott DiMauro on the television series "Just Shoot Me." He also starred as private investigator Keith Mars in "Veronica Mars," for which he was nominated for a 2006 Teen Choice Award in the category of "Choice Parental Unit," and as everyone's favorite loveable alien, Commander Mathesar, in the sci-fi film "Galaxy Quest." His feature film credits include "Homeland Security," "Full Frontal," "The First $20 Million Is Always The Hardest," "A.I.," "Stigmata," "Albino Alligator," "Money Train," "The Wrong Guy" and the award-winning short, "Bigger Fish." He received critical praise for his role as Elia Kazan in the Golden Globe award-winning and Emmy nominated cable television movie "James Dean."

His theater credits include starring roles in Neil LaBute's "The Distance From Here," "The Merry Wives of Windsor," "Arabian Nights," "The Triumph of Love," "Dracula," "Renfeld," "Macbeth" and "Chekhov Project 2000."

Colantoni's love for the arts began with a drama class he took while studying psychology and sociology at the University of Toronto. His drama teacher encouraged him to pursue an acting career, and he left school for New York, where he studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts for three years. While there, he received the Princess Grace Scholarship and the Charles Jehlinger Award. He went on to graduate from the Yale School of Drama where he appeared in "Hamlet" at the Yale Repertory and received the school's prestigious Carol Dye Award.

Born in Toronto to Italian immigrant parents, Colantoni remains loyal to his roots. He is an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team, and is known among his friends as a skilled Italian chef. In his spare time, he teaches drama to Los Angeles youth at Inner City Arts and devotes his time to Penny Lane, a residential treatment for at-risk youth.

He currently lives in Los Angeles with his son and daughter.

I do not watch TV weekly shows except those that have Law Enforcement subject matter...I recently started watching :"Flashpoint" and became one of my favorite shows. I think it is amazing that you have brought forth all who encouraged you to pursue an acting career... as well, still help others that wish to have the same dreams!
