Erik Rivera stars in Oxygen's reality docu-series "Living with Funny."

Erik Rivera is a regular at New York City and Los Angeles comedy clubs such as The Comedy Cellar, Comic Strip Live, Gotham Comedy Club, The Laugh Factory, and The Comedy & Magic Club. Recently, Eva Longoria's production company, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, took notice of his talent and approached him about producing a sitcom based on his comedy. LATV's American Latino TV, which highlights accomplished Latinos in the community, documented his rise to fame. Rivera is a familiar face on several cable networks, having appeared numerous times on MTV Tr3s, Comedy Central, and Si TV's Latino 101. He also starred in the feature film "Stand Up 360: Edition 1," along with Caroline Rhea. In addition, he was selected to host their Latino film series, "Stand Up 360: Muy Caliente Edition 1" and appeared in two independent features, "My Brother" and "Stand Up" by award-winning director, Michael Rainin. Rivera wrote and directed his first award-winning short film, "The Cyclist," featuring fellow comedians Ross Bennett and Imagine.

Rivera continues to tour colleges and universities nationwide. He recently had the privilege of being selected by NBC to represent their network's Stand Up for Diversity college tour. The tour took Rivera from coast to coast, bringing laughter to over fifty schools.

In 2009 Rivera served as the spokesperson for the Duracell Smart Power Lab in Times Square, interviewing celebrities from Justin Bieber to Gabourey Sidibe. In 2010 the National Hispanic Media Coalition invited Rivera to be their special guest performer at their annual Impact Awards Gala, which honored Oscar Nuñez ("The Office") and Rico Rodriguez ("Modern Family"). Rivera has also appeared at the Latino Laugh Festival, alongside Carlos Mencia, to a packed house at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. Rivera was honored to be the only comedian to perform for two consecutive years in 2008 and 2009 for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C.

When not touring the country, Rivera calls both New York City and Los Angeles home.
