Fern Sutherland stars in "The Almighty Johnsons" on Syfy as Dawn, Anders' (Dean O'Gorman) girl Friday and the backbone and moral center of his PR company. The role earned Sutherland a nomination for Best Performance by a Supporting Actress at the 2011 Aotearoa Film and Television Awards (AFTAs).

Fern Sutherland is a relatively fresh face on New Zealand screens but her career is going from strength to strength. Gaining acting experience in the short film industry with lead roles in productions at UNITEC Performing Arts School, Fern then continued into theater where she featured in such productions as Silo Theatre's "Ensemble Project 08" and the Auckland Theatre Company's "The Pohutakawa Tree" (2009) and "The End of the Golden Weather" (2011).

Simultaneously Fern arrived on the television scene with South Pacific Pictures casting her in small role in series two of "Go Girls."
