Finesse Mitchell stars in "ANT Farm" on Disney Channel.

Finesse Mitchell was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating from the University of Miami—a member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and a walk-on on the Hurricanes football team—Mitchell began doing stand-up and from there moved onto writing and acting.

Mitchell's first big break came on NBC's "Saturday Night Live," where he was promoted to cast member in 2005. His best known character was the sassy Starkisha, who frequently appeared on "Weekend Update" to mock bizarre African-American first names, including his own.

Mitchell's acting credits include the features "Who's Your Caddy?," "The Comebacks" and "Mad Money." He also writes a monthly column for Essence Magazine called "Oh, Brother!" and his first book, "Your Girlfriends Only Know So Much: A Brother's Take on Dating and Mating for Sistas," came out in 2007. In 2008, Mitchell created his own production company, Snap Famous Productions.
