Fred Savage stars in "The Grinder" on FOX as Stewart Sanderson.

Fred Savage is an entertainment industry veteran. Beginning with commercials as a young child in Chicago, he expanded to television and feature films such as "Vice Versa," "The Last Run," and "The Princess Bride." In 1988, he began a six-year run as Kevin Arnold on the hit television show "The Wonder Years," a role that earned him many accolades and awards, including several Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. He was the youngest person ever to be nominated for the latter award. His second series, "Working," ran for two seasons on NBC from 1998 to 2000 and gave him his first opportunity to direct. More recently, he starred in the short-lived ABC comedy "Crumbs." He guest starred on "Boy Meets World," which starred his brother, Ben Savage.

Fred Savage was heard in an episode of "Justice League Unlimited," along with his "Wonder Years" older brother, Jason Hervey, as the voice of Hawk, the more aggressive half of the superhero duo, Hawk and Dove. In addition, Savage provided the voice of Noah in Cartoon Network's "Generator Rex" and the title character in Nickelodeon's "Oswald."

On the big screen, Savage was featured in the comedy "Austin Powers in Goldmember," starring Mike Myers, the drama "The Rules of Attraction," starring James Van Der Beek and Ian Somerhalder, and the comedy "Welcome to Mooseport," starring Ray Romano and Gene Hackman. In "Little Monsters," Savage played the son of Daniel Stern's character. Stern provided the voice for Savage's inner monologue on "The Wonder Years."

In recent years, Savage has mostly concentrated on his career as a director. His directing credits in television are impressive and include episodes of such series as "2 Broke Girls," "Modern Family," which earned him a DGA Award nomination, "Marry Me," "The McCarthys," "The Goldbergs," "Garfunkel and Oates," "Bad Teacher," "Playing House," "Friends with Better Lives," "Growing Up Fisher," "The Crazy Ones," "The Michael J. Fox Show," "Best Friends Forever," "Happy Endings," "Mr. Sunshine," "Franklin & Bash," "Perfect Couples," "Braking In," "Gigantic," "Big Time Rush," "Party Down," "Greek," "Ugly Betty," "Zeke and Luther" and "Wizards of Waverly Place," which both earned him DGA Award nominations, "Aliens in America," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Kim Possible," "Zoey 101," "Phil of the Future," "Hannah Montana," "Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide," "Crumbs," "Unfabulous," "That's So Raven," "What I Like About You," "Kitchen Confidential," "Drake and Josh," "Oliver Beene," "Even Stevens," "All About Us," and the TV movie "Stephen's Life." He made his feature film directorial debut with "Daddy Day Camp."

Savage plays on the World Poker Tour in the Hollywood Home games for the Childrens Hospital Los Angeles charity. He is one of the top World Poker champions.
