Gareth Williams stars in "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" on Starz as Vettius, a young upstart lanista, benefitting from the patronage of the powerful Tullius (Stephen Lovatt).

New Zealand actor Gareth Williams received a Bachelor of Performing Arts from Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School and studied at the New Zealand Shakespeare Company and London's Globe Theatre.

He has appeared on the television series "Legend of the Seeker," "Bliss," "This is Not My Life," "Facelift," and "Seven Periods with Mr. Gormsby." Film credits include "Rest for the Wicked" and "Home by Christmas." Theater productions include "Romeo & Juliet," "Jack and the Beanstalk," "Angels in America," "Enchanted Tales," "Peer Gynt," "Cabaret," "The Little Mermaid," "Henry VI: Part 1," and "The Seagull."

Williams won the Wellington Fringe Festival for Best Comedy Show for "The Lonesome Buckwhips" and received a Billy T. James Award nomination for the same production. He was also nominated for Best Male Newcomer – Chapman Tripp Award for "The Dentist's Chair."
