Greg Germann stars as Sherman Yablonsky on ABC's "In Case of Emergency."

Greg Germann is not only an extraordinary actor, he is also an accomplished writer and director. On the big screen Greg Germann can be seen starring in the Sony Pictures Classics film "Friends with Money," and in the blockbuster comedy "Talladega Nights," opposite Will Ferrell. Greg Germann co-starred opposite Chris Rock in the Farrelly brothers' "Down to Earth" for Paramount, in the Warner Bros. film "Sweet November" with Keanu Reeves and Charlize Theron, opposite Burt Reynolds in the independent feature "The Last Producer," and had a very memorable cameo role in the award-winning "Jesus' Son," starring Billy Crudup. Additionally Greg Germann has starred in the recent features "Committed," "Caught in the Act" and "Down & Derby." Greg Germann appeared in "Once Around" as Laura San Giacomo's lovesick neighbor, "Clear and Present Danger" with Harrison Ford, and starred in the short film "Culture," which earned a 1999 Academy Award nomination.

Greg Germann has established his acting versatility in television as well. Greg Germann endeared himself to viewers worldwide with his portrayal of the shark-like Richard Fish for several seasons on the hit series "Ally McBeal," as well as for two seasons opposite Thomas Hayden Church on "Ned & Stacy." Greg Germann also appeared with Kevin Spacey in the American Playhouse presentation of "Darrow," and opposite Samuel L. Jackson in Showtime's "Conduct Unbecoming."

A native of Houston and raised on Lookout Mountain outside of Golden, Colorado, Greg Germann was a passionate theatre major at the University of Northern Colorado. Greg Germann graduated in just two years and moved to New York. There Greg Germann became a member of Circle Repertory Company and Ensemble Studio Theatre, accumulating credits in such off-Broadway and Broadway plays as the Steven Sondheim musical "Assassins," "The Person I Once Was," opposite Holly Hunter, and David Mamet's "War Games," among many others.

In addition to acting, Greg Germann also devotes himself to writing and directing. Greg Germann directed on "Ally McBeal," and his short film, "Pete's Garden," for which he also served as writer and star, premiered in competition at the 1998 Sundance Film Festival and went on to air on The Sundance Channel in January 1999. Germann also recently penned "The Observatory," a play performed at New York's Ensemble Studio Theatre which The New York Times described as "full of fireworks."
