Gregory "Dr. Danger" Carpenter from "American Daredevils" stars in the History Channel reality docu-series.

Gregory E. Carpenter, aka Dr. Danger, worked a number of jobs in his past life, but nothing proved exciting enough. "I used to have a real job," he says. "But I hated it, so I became a daredevil." For 20 years, this charismatic, quick-witted daredevil has zigzagged his way across the United States in a $300 Suburban hitched to a trailer full of ramps and explosives. Along with his ragtag group of daredevil pirates, Danger earns a living jumping cars, lighting himself on fire and blowing himself up at monster truck rallies, racetracks, county fairs and festivals. He does it all for a couple thousand dollars and the thrills that keep him going from show to show. It's a dangerous way to make a living, but as Dr. Danger says, "It ain't killed me yet."
