More recently he starred in the critically lauded "The Proposition" (2005), directed by John Hillcoat whom he worked with again on "The Road." Pearce gained critical acclaim for his portrayal of pop artist Andy Warhol in "Factory Girl," played Harry Houdini in Gillian Armstrong's "Death Defying Acts" and had a cameo appearance in Kathryn Bigelow's Academy Award winning "The Hurt Locker."
Pearce will also appear in the 2011 Roger Donaldson thriller "The Hungry Rabbit Jumps" alongside Nicolas Cage.
