"Hardcore Pawn" on truTV heads to Detroit to take an inside look at one of the country's largest pawn shops. In good times and bad, pawn shops enjoy a steady clientele: those who come in to hock valuables and those who look for good deals on previously owned goods. For people in Detroit, the go-to pawn shop is the expansive American Jewelry and Loan. Dubbed "the working man's bank," American Jewelry and Loan has been in business for more than four decades, with more than 10,000 square feet of merchandise.

"Hardcore Pawn" takes viewers into the zany and sometimes volatile world of American Jewelry and Loan, where a wide assortment of people bring in everything from alligators to prosthetic limbs. Each pawn ticket has a story, and there are more than 45,000 stories in the warehouse to tell. The Gold family and their employees never know what to expect when people's personal items are on the line. As each episode of this fascinating series reveals, haggling over a price can quickly escalate into an all-out conflict.

At the center of "Hardcore Pawn" is American Jewelry and Loan owner Les Gold, whose staff includes his two adult children, Seth Gold and Ashley Broad, as well as his trusted manager, Rich. The show not only tells the stories of the people who come into the shop seeking money but also the behind-the-scenes story of Les's family and staff.

Season 6

The sixth season kicks off with Rich returning to speak to Les about their confrontation. In a last-ditch effort to regain Les' trust, Rich spots what he thinks are stolen goods. If he's right, he'll look like a savior. If he's wrong, he will undoubtedly be handed his final walking papers. Meanwhile, Seth continues on his path to take over the store from his father, all under the disapproving eye of his sister Ashley.

Season 8

The new season starts with some bad blood between Les and Seth that could lead to a devastating betrayal — but only one man knows the shocking truth. Les will be at his all-time best as master negotiator and changes are in store. The premiere will pick up where the previous season's shocking finale left off. After a devastated Les discovers Seth has been working in another pawnshop behind his back, the question on everyone's mind is: "Will Seth turn his back on the family business for good?" Also in the season opener, Ashley gets spooked by a skeleton rock band; Bobby J. tosses the pigskin for a big win; and a vintage watch leads to a very surprising offer from Les.

"Hardcore Pawn" is executive-produced by Zodiak USA's Natalka Znak, Mike Gamson, Claire O'Donohoe and Richard Dominick. For truTV, Anthony Horn serves as executive in charge of production and Mark Anstendig serves as executive producer.
