"Henry Hugglemonster" on Disney Junior is an animated television series that follows the adventures of fun-loving, 5-year-old Henry Hugglemonster, the middle child in a happy, close-knit monster family. Set in the colorful town of Roarsville, the series transports young viewers into Henry's world and the ups and downs of being part of a loving, bustling monster family as he learns everyday life lessons that are relatable to kids age 2-7.

Based on the book series "I'm a Happy Hugglewug" by award-winning children's book author/illustrator and Ireland's Children's Laureate, Niamh Sharkey, each episode features two stories told from Henry's point of view. Every episode begins with Henry greeting the audience, and with that, the enthusiastic Henry is off on another adventure, sharing his thoughts and feelings and the lessons he learns along the way directly with the audience.

Through its enthusiastic lead character, the series models positive life lessons that young viewers are in the process of learning themselves. Whether it be learning to work as a team, helping others or understanding what it means to be part of a family, Henry showcases many of the emotions that young children feel as they learn to navigate their own lives, along with an added dose of humor to the everyday challenges that arise.

Joining Henry in his adventures is his loving family — parents Daddo and Momma, big brother Cobby, older sister Summer and baby Ivor. Every so often Henry's grandparents, Nan-oh and Grando, also stop by for a visit. The Hugglemonsters live in the town of Roarsville, a friendly and diverse community consisting of a variety of species of monsters, including Isabella Roarson, a spirited and popular monster popstar; the Enormomonsters, a family of very large monsters including Ernest, Ernestine and their daughter Estelle; and Denzel Dugglemonster, Henry's best friend who has scoop-shaped hands that are perfect for digging.

The series follows a specific curriculum which aims to nurture multiple areas of child development: physical, emotional, social and cognitive, thinking and creative skills, as well as moral and ethical development. Whether it be Henry trying to help his baby brother get to sleep or asking his sister for help when he needs it, the series emphasizes themes of optimism, resilience, persistence and teamwork while fostering an appreciation for family and community relationships.

Each story is punctuated with upbeat, character-driven songs to provide a fun musical interlude and reinforce the emotional storytelling. The musical Hugglemonster family often joins Momma Hugglemonster around the piano to sing along with Summer, a budding performer whose songs often become full blown singing and dancing production numbers.

The voice cast includes Lara Jill Miller ("Doc McStuffins") as Henry; Tom Kenny ("Spongebob Squarepants") as Daddo and Grando; Lori Alan ("Family Guy") as Momma; Hynden Walch ("Teen Titans") as Summer; Chiara Zanni ("My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic") as Cobby; and Kari Wahlgren ("Phineas and Ferb") as Ivor.

The guest voice cast includes Geri Halliwell ("Spice Girls") as Isabella Roarson; Academy Award-nominated Brenda Blethyn, OBE ("Atonement"), as Ernestine Enormomonster; Brian Blessed ("Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves") as Eduardo Enormomonster; Grey Delisle ("Gravity Falls") as Estelle Enormomonster and Nan-oh; and Rob Paulsen ("Doc McStuffins") as Denzel.

Developed and produced by two-time Academy Award-nominated animation studio Brown Bag Films in Dublin, Ireland, "Henry Hugglemonster" is directed by Emmy Award-winning Norton Virgien ("Rugrats," "Doc McStuffins"). Brown Bag co-founders Cathal Gaffney and Darragh O'Connell serve as executive producers, along with Niamh Sharkey. The story editor is Sascha Paladino ("Wonder Pets," "Ni Hao Kai-Lan"), the producer is Gillian Higgins ("Doc McStuffins," "Octonauts") and the composer is Matt Mahaffey ("Ni Hao, Kai-Lan"). The educational consultant is Dr. Laura Brown ("Jungle Junction," "Third and Bird"). The series carries a TV-Y parental guideline.
