"Hotel Impossible" Season 4 is a reality series on Travel Channel.

Competition is fierce in the hotel business. Online review sites can kill a business' reputation with one bad review. Staffs are untrained, surly or apathetic in a profession that lives or dies on service. So what's a struggling hotel operator to do? Bring in Anthony Melchiorri, a hotel "fixer," who can turn any establishment around in weeks ... and he does just that in this series.

Melchiorri's tough-love style can be hard to swallow and overhauling a business is a painful and often emotional task, but the potential reward of a fully booked hotel with excellent customer reviews makes it all worth it.

Each episode features a hotel that is having problems or is not living up to it's potential. Melchiorri secretly scouts the property and identifies its biggest problems. He then meets with the staff from front desk receptionists to housekeeping to the owners themselves to determine the key operation issues. Some owners could risk losing their hotels if Melchiorri's renovations do not work. After coming up with a plan and prescribing the changes that need to be made, Melchiorri revamps and re-motivates the staff and transforms the hotel. Whether it is demonstrating the proper way to pour a glass of wine or gutting and redecorating a lobby, Melchiorri knows how to turn a struggling hotel into a bustling tourist destination.

Season 2

Travel Channel has set a wake-up call for 13 more hotels struggling to stay afloat in Season 2. Host and "hotel fixer" Anthony Melchiorri is back to save failing hotels for season two of the critically-acclaimed original series. Armed with a team of designers to help turn things around, Melchiorri convinces the hotel staff and owners to let go of the reins and take his advice seriously or be prepared to lose everything.

The new season will continue to feature hotels that are either not living up to their potential, or on the verge of closing. Anthony Melchiorri assesses each property and identifies its biggest problems. He then meets with the staff, from front desk receptionists to housekeeping to the owners themselves, to determine the key operation issues. Joining our hotel expert on location are a variety of highly experienced designers including Blanche Garcia, Casey Noble and Alison Victoria, who will help transform key spaces in each hotel. As in last season, Melchiorri has just days to formulate a plan, revamp the hotel and re-motivate its staff. For some hotel owners, this is their last hope.

In the premiere episode, Melchiorri heads to the island getaway Caribe Playa Beach Resort to reinvigorate a hotel that's a mere ten steps away from the beautiful tropical beaches of Puerto Rico. Owner George Engel struggles to make revenue off this prime real estate, which hasn't seen a profit since 2006. Melchiorri's first order of business is to resolve a sticky family situation — Engel's wife Francis, failing miserably as the hotel's General Manager. Then, Melchiorri enlists returning designer Blanche Garcia to help redesign the chaotic front desk, in addition to remodeling the guest rooms to resemble a five-star accommodation. Meanwhile, Melchiorri works with Engel to hire a new, experienced General Manager to manage the day-to-day tasks that Francis Engel struggled to handle. With the resort's new management, coupled with Garcia's renovations to the front desk and guest rooms, Melchiorri's goal is to turn this struggling oceanfront hotel into a world-class destination resort.

Upcoming episodes feature major transformations that help put hotels back into the black, including Bromley Sun Lodge, Peru, Vermont; Delaware Water Gap Country Club & Inn, Delaware Water Gap, Penn.; Glacier Bay Lodge, Yakutat, Alaska; The Hotel Leger, Mokelumne Hill, Calif.; Maui Sunseeker Resort, Maui, Hawaii; Palm Springs Travelodge, Palm Springs, Calif.; Periwinkle Inn, Cape May, N.J.; Telemark Resort & Convention Center, Cable, Wis.; Triangle T Historic Ranch, Dragoon, Ariz.; and more.

Season 4

he premiere episode brings Melchiorri back to Alaska to help save the Alaskan Hotel & Bar, which is celebrating its 100th year. The hotel is the oldest, continually-operated hotel in the state. After forty years, the hotel's current owner, Bettye, is ready to hand over managerial duties to her son, despite how they often feud over management styles. Years of cosmetic neglect have left the property and guest rooms in less-than-desirable conditions; and the hotel's security systems are dangerously lacking ... both bears and humans have snuck into the property! The rowdy bar — the hotel's biggest moneymaker — is still a draw for the local crowd. But an uncooperative, belligerent bar manager is less-than-thrilled to see Melchiorri and the TV crew arrive, and is insistent that his services are neither needed nor welcome. Melchiorri brings in designer Blanche Garcia to help with much-needed renovations, along with a respected bar consultant to pinpoint the bar's major areas for improvement. When resistance from the bar manager stalls the proper course of change, a face-off ensues. Additional locations featured in the fourth season of "Hotel Impossible" include Estes Park, Colo.; Hollywood, Calif.; Homestead, Fla.; Islamorada, Fla. (Florida Keys); Las Vegas, Nev.; Myrtle Beach, S.C.; New Brunswick, Canada; St. John, USVI and more.
