Howard Charles stars in "The Musketeers" on BBC America as Porthos.

British actor Howard Charles recently finished playing Yellow in the critically acclaimed play "Blackta" at the Young Vic. He trained at the Drama Centre London and was awarded a Lady Rothermere Drama Award and a Leverhulme scholarship.

Charles was seen in the Syfy original movie "Black Forest" and the Dutch feature film "&Me." On UK television, he appeared in "Switch," "The Warm Up Guy," "Candy Chops" and "Beautiful People."

stage, Charles has had roles in "Macbeth" and "The Merchant of Venice," both with the Royal Shakespeare Company, "Enron" at The Royal Court, "Painting a Wall" at Finborough Theatre, "The Hounding of David Olawale" at West Yorkshire Playhouse, "Three Sisters" at The Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester, "The Local Stigmatic" at the Edinburgh Festival, and "Les Jeudis" at Centre Pompidou, among others.

Charles enjoys dancing Ballet, boxing, swimming and playing both football and tennis.
