"Ice Road Truckers" Season 8 is a reality series on History Channel that is going where it's never gone before. From the most extreme weather in a quarter century, to the world's longest winter road, the warriors of the ice roads will face their toughest battle yet — the polar vortex.

A weather system not seen in North America since the mid 1980s, the polar vortex is wreaking havoc and doubling the danger, making it even tougher to keep the trucks on the road and above the ice. The weather isn't the only challenge facing the Ice Road Truckers this season. They will be pushing deeper into the frozen frontier, pressing their luck on new roads. For the first time ever, drivers will be hauling on the trail the Guinness Book of World Records named "the longest seasonal winter road in the world," dubbed the 'Ring of Fire Road' for its treacherous passage that winds its way through manmade ice canyons and over deep water. These harsh conditions aren't stopping Polar Industries and VP Express from backing down against the war that ignited last year. Alex Debogorski, Mark Kohaykewych, Todd Dewey, Lisa Kelly, Darrel Ward and Art Burke are back and continue to be the rough riders of the frozen frontier and this season is a non-stop ride over extremely thin ice.

The rough riders of the frozen frontiers — Alex Debogorski, Mark Kohaykewych, Todd Dewey, Lisa Kelly, Darrel Ward and Art Burke are back and this season's perilous challenges take them on a non-stop ride over thin ice.

The series is a classic story of adventure, perseverance, human ingenuity and most importantly, danger. One miscalculation of the road, bad weather or an unseen road hazard can be the difference between life and death. Even the most seasoned drivers will find themselves challenged by the conditions, isolation and lack of creature comforts on the most dangerous roads in North America. Although technology has changed how people deal with the conditions of the Arctic Circle, the people of the region cling to their deep roots and traditions of which ice road trucking has been an integral part for many generations.

"Ice Road Truckers" Season 8 is produced for History by Original Productions, a FremantleMedia Company. Executive producers for Original Productions are Thom Beers, Philip D. Segal and Jeff Conroy. Jeff Meredith produces the series. Executive producer for History is Matt Ginsburg.

Greg needs to grow up. He childish actions on the road are the most ignorant things I've ever seen. If he wants to play games he should go home and play them with his kids. My respect goes for Ray. He handled Greg like the child he is.
